Tintin's 3D adventures to land in 2011 - Jamie Bell

In London to attend the Royal gala premiere of new film The Lovely Bones tonight, Jackson told the BBC: "Tintin is great. It's made. The movie is cut together and now [we] are turning it into a fully-rendered film. So the movie, to some degree, exists in a very rough state."
The Adventures of Tintin: Secret of the Unicorn, the first in a proposed trilogy, will feature the voice of Billy Elliot star Jamie Bell as the intrepid Belgian journalist, with regular Jackson collaborator Andy Serkis as the salty Captain Haddock.

The Eagle Of The Ninth: Achiltibuie Garden Blog...

I mentioned in my last blog that there was great buzz in the community with filming for Eagle of The Ninth happening here. I have to say I greatly admire all those who were involved as they remained upbeat throughout despite the horrendous rain and cold they all endured. In true west coast tradition we decided to throw a ceilidh for all those involved with the film and it was truly one of the best nights we have enjoyed in our community hall since it was built 10 years ago. A great mix of people from the local community and EO9 enjoyed good music, singing and dancing - even the stars of the film, Channing Tatum and Jamie Bell (famous for his role as Billy Elliot) joined in the Eightsome Reels and Strip the Willows.

The Eagle Of The Ninth: Focus Features Press Release

The Roman epic adventure The Eagle of the Ninth will open nationwide in the third quarter of 2010. The film is co-financed by Film4 with Focus, which holds worldwide rights excluding U.K. free-TV. The Eagle of the Ninth, which wraps production on location in Scotland next week, is directed by Academy Award winner Kevin Macdonald and produced by Academy Award and Golden Globe Award nominee Duncan Kenworthy. Jeremy Brock, BAFTA Award-winning screenwriter of Mr. Macdonald’s 2006 film The Last King of Scotland, has adapted the screenplay from Rosemary Sutcliff’s classic novel of the same name. The Eagle of the Ninth is set in the dangerous world of second-century Britain. In 140 AD, twenty years after the unexplained disappearance of the entire Ninth Legion in the mountains of Scotland, young centurion Marcus Aquila (played by Channing Tatum) arrives from Rome to solve the mystery and restore the reputation of his father, the commander of the Ninth. Accompanied only by his British slave Esca (Jamie Bell), Marcus sets out across Hadrian’s Wall into the uncharted highlands of Caledonia – to confront its savage tribes, make peace with his father’s memory, and retrieve the lost legion’s golden emblem, the Eagle of the Ninth. The movie also stars Donald Sutherland, Mark Strong, and Tahar Rahim.
