The Eagle Of The Ninth: Bumped to 2011? - Jamie Bell

Rumors are still flying that the release date for
The Eagle Of The Ninth
has been moved to 2011.

The thinking is that another Focus Features film...
It's A Kind Of Funny Story
has taken over it's original September 24, 2010 release date
and some say Focus WILL NOT release two films on the same day.

I guess we'll have to wait and see on this one...

Hallam Foe: The Climbing Wall - Jamie Bell

video

From the old HALLAM FOE BLOG -

Jamie Bell on the climbing wall
in preparation for filming .

"But he seems to have ended up in roles, such as Hallam Foe, that allow him to show off his physical presence and natural athleticism - here, as a loner turned benign peeping tom, he spends much of the film climbing, catlike, up buildings and across the rooftops of Edinburgh. A chunkier, clumsier actor would have struggled with the role."

'Sensation'.. Arthur Rimbaud - Jamie Bell

Sensation

On the blue summer evenings, I shall go down the paths,
Getting pricked by the corn, crushing the short grass:
In a dream I shall feel its coolness on my feet.
I shall let the wind bathe my bare head.

I shall not speak, I shall think about nothing:
But endless love will mount in my soul;
And I shall travel far, very far, like a gypsy,
Through the countryside - as happy as if I were with a woman.

Arthur Rimbaud
March 1870.

Making Of 'Death Watch' 2001: Blast From The Past - Jamie Bell

A ten minute video diary/making of… featurette that I put together for my first film, Deathwatch. It was a horror movie set in the trenches of World War 1 starring Jamie Bell and Andy Serkis. Not a great movie but it has its moments and was pretty ambitious for the budget. I came across this little featurette whilst cleaning out some old files and thought it would be fun to share for those who are interested. I tried to embed the YouTube video but it just wouldn’t take here for some reason. So, here you go…

The Eagle Of The Ninth: Pre-Screening and Survey - Jamie Bell

There was a Pre-Screening of
'The Eagle Of The Ninth'
in Paramus, New Jersey Thursday, May 6th.
Viewers were asked to fill-out a survey afterwards...

Thanks to some good people on Twitter I was able to get some reactions.

@rchapoteau writes: "It was a pretty decent action film. I learned quite a bit
about the history of Rome, the Brits and Scotland. (Jamie Bell's) performance in the
film was actually one of the best...Most other major characters weren't as believable.

@drunk_twilight adds: "I thought Jamie Bell was excellent. One of the best characters..."
